We are proud to have organised the biggest Riichi tournament staged in Europe to date, with no less than 21 countries providing 128 entrants. The Mayor of Farnham provided a welcoming reception for distinguished visitors from overseas, and kindly agreed to open the tournament officially.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The leading places were taken by players from Russia, Netherlands, Poland and Denmark \u2013 Mikhail Ludovkin, Desiree Heemskirk, Mateusz Wozniak, and Henrik Leth respecitvely. The leading British players were Daina Chiba (8th) Yixuan Liu (14th) and John Duckworth with a creditable 18th place backing up his achievement in the World Championship in Paris in 2015 where he was the best performing European player<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
